Thats awesome! Thats why Natural stuff is so awesome! Its healthy, You know ALL of the ingredients, AND its cheaper than paying someone else to package ship, and sell to you!
I put this on for a few seconds and it made my skin burn/red. Is this because I have sensitive skin? I'm wondering because all the ingredients are natural. Is it supposed to burn?
I saw that lemon wasn't listed in the ingredients but listed as a benefit so is it in the actual facial? Trying this now with a tsp. Of fresh lemon. Smells like a pumpkin pie and feels tingly! Love it. Hopeful it will help with my hormonal acne flare ups. Thanks!
i just used this recipe i had it on for 30 minutes when i took it off my skin felt much tighter, but i was wondering how many times do you have to use it and how often for red spots to fade?
Im sorry but I dont know what you mean. The face mask is probably CREATING red spots that should fade in just a few minutes. There is no way for any one to tell you how many applications it will take for something to happen with your skin. That depends on you! And your skin will feel tight because of the chemical reactions going on. Use some coconut oil or moisturizer to fix that instantly.
This is a great recipe to try out. I do have my reservations, though, seeing as you’re pregnant. It might be wise for others to try to consult their doctors first just to be sure that it doesn't affect your pregnancy in any way. However, I still think you have a great thing going on with that anti-acne face mask. Lilia Valle
Sorry, but that's just not true. There are culinary herbs and spices that are *not* safe to consume in large doses during pregnancy and nutmeg is one of them (it can cause miscarriages). Very unlikely that a mask would cause problems (unless you're using it often), but it's always a good idea to consult your doctor about the use of any herb or spice in large amounts when pregnant or nursing.
Here's an article that mentions nutmeg as being potentially dangerous in large doses during pregnancy: http://www.pregnancyandchildren.com/pregnancy/pregnancy_dangerous_herbs.htm
Not safe to consume in LARGE* doses if you have an AT RISK* pregnancy. This post does not advise to consume anything and the amount absorbed by your skin is EXTREMELY minuscule.
I saw this on Pinterest and just tried it. It was aabsolutely amazing! Made my skin feel so soft and I can definitely see some results the next day. Thanks for posting it! :)

I just did this. My skin does feel better and refreshed. I might try more honey in it cause my skin is a lil dry. I did not see an instant change...maybe because my acne turned into like a scab kinda deal which idk what to do for that. My question is tho how many times can I do this? Once in the morning and again at night? Or only once a day?
I wouldnt do it more than once a day, and no more than 2 times a week if you include lemon juice. The mask turned it into a "scab deal?" If thats the case thats a good sign since acne is mainly oil and dirt. If your face feels tight and dry afterward, and especially if you are seeing dry scabs put some oil oil your face (coconut works AWESOMELY but I use jojoba oil also - even a little olive oil can help with that)
I just made friends with a degree aesthetics (skin health) the other day who asked me how my skin looks so great and what I put on it. I told her about this mask and how I dont use any cleaning products except oil and witch hazel and she was amazed at how simple and genius it was.
I hope this helped! Im working on a post right now about how cleansing your skin with oil is the best, and Ill let you know about that when I post it! Good luck and thank you for visiting us!
What do you use the witch hazel and oil for? Interested in a skin care regimen that works....I'm 25 and have terrible breakouts...feeling 15 and disgusting!
Witch Hazel is an astringent. It cleans and tones your face and just has one ingredient: Witch Hazel. Its better than those other cleansers that have chemicals in them that can cause more break outs. It also kills any bacteria, preventing new blemishes from happening. Also, I clean my face most of the time with just oil. Heres an article I wrote on it: http://consumerimnot.blogspot.com/2014/08/cleaning-your-skin-with-oil.html
Is your skin super oily or dry? If its oily try JUST witch hazel. If its Dry use the oil method (Thats what I do, and I have super dry skin.) Both should work with either, but to start out and see results that is my suggestion. If you have normal skin try alternating to see which works best!
Great stuff, and it smells great too. Immediately felt a tingly sensation, you know, the one you get when you feel clean. Anyways, once I washed it off my skin was softer, and now my breakouts are less red and not as swollen
I will be trying this today and it's a bonus that the ingredients are staples in my house!

ReplyDeleteLeave it on for about 30 minutes and it doesnt matter WHEN you do it.

ReplyDeleteLemon is definitely listed there! Please Read again =)
DeleteAnd a tsp is a bit much, be careful and make sure you arent going outside right after using it! Lemon causes photo sensitivity.

Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Lemon, and Honey are all Pantry Items and will not affect your pregnancy negatively unless you have an allergy.
